Canon G11 ?

I am planning to buy a Canon G11, but I cognizance the the pivot allowing the LCD monitor to turn up and down is small and seems insubstantial.

I can't find any comment on this in various sites.

Am I correct? Please advise.

Nikon Developing a Canon G11 Rival
